EAR NOTE / SUPPORT

iPhone y iPad · iOS / iPadOS 17 o posterior

Afinador

  1. Selecciona Afinador y pulsa Empezar a escuchar.

No necesita micrófono.

Escuchar y tocar

Puedes pulsar Repetir o pasar a Siguiente. No necesita micrófono.

Ear Note combines a visual tuner with ear-training activities for voice and instruments.

iPhone and iPad · iOS / iPadOS 17 or later

This version is in testing, ahead of its App Store release. Choose an activity from the menu or top buttons. Settings includes language, A4 from 440 to 443 Hz, privacy and support.

Tuner: start listening and allow microphone access. Play or sing one sustained note; stop listening when finished. Compare tuning: tap Begin, listen to the two notes and choose Lower, Same or Higher. Tonal ear: listen and select one of seven degrees; the solution shows the degree and note. Only the tuner uses a staff.

Listen and play: choose a key and octave, tap Begin and hear the reference. When ready, tap Play or sing and sustain the same note and octave for two seconds. Capture starts when tapped, with no automatic countdown. You can replay the reference or try again.

Finish returns to setup while retaining session counters. Audio and microphone stop when the app leaves the foreground; restart listening after returning. If permission was denied, use Open Settings or Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Piano samples are included and activities work offline.

Mac · Getting started

  1. Open Ear Note. At the top, you can choose the language and set Reference tuning (A4) from 440 to 443 Hz.
  2. Select an activity using the tabs: Compare tuning, Listen and play, Tonal ear or Tuner.
  3. Follow the activity instructions. Only Tuner and Listen and play need microphone permission.

The three training activities and A4 setting are introduced in version 0.2.0, pending release. If you use 0.1.0, follow the tuner steps.

Tuner

  1. Select Tuner and click Start listening.
  2. Allow microphone access when prompted, then play or sing one sustained note near your Mac, iPhone or iPad.
  3. See the note, octave, frequency and tuning deviation in real time. Click Stop listening to stop the microphone.

Compare tuning

Choose a Major key and Difficulty, then click Begin. Listen to the tonal context and two notes; choose whether the second is Lower, In tune or Higher than the first. Repeat plays the same question and Next creates another. No microphone is needed.

Listen and play

Choose a Major key and Reference register, then click Begin. Allow microphone access, listen to the reference and wait for the 3–2–1 countdown. Sing or play the same note in the same octave during the automatic four-second capture. The result appears when capture ends. Try again repeats the sequence with the same note; Repeat reference only plays the sound.

Tonal ear

Choose a Major key and click Begin. Listen to the tonal context and note, then select one of the seven degrees. After answering, see the correct degree and its position on the staff. Click Repeat to listen again or Next for another question. No microphone is needed.

If note detection does not start

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and make sure Ear Note has access. Reopen the app, select Tuner and click Start listening, or select Listen and play and click Begin. The Ready indicator does not mean the microphone is listening.
